One of the easiest ways to speed up most computers is to add more ram. If you’re running windows XP, and not playing games, a gig is usually a good amount. If your running vista, try 2 gigs, as the operating system essentially takes up a gig by itself. RAM is fairly easy to add by yourself, just opening up the case and sliding a stick in, no screws necessary.
