I’ve always felt that a lot of pharmaceutical companies get a bum rap. They’re always criticized for high prices on prescription medicines, but really, if you look at how much goes into the medicine, the profits are justified. It can cost over a billion dollars to bring many pills to market, and often it fails clinical trials or otherwise doesn’t work out. The free market allows most of these drugs that wouldn’t otherwise exist to be available, so I say, let’em make some money on it.
