Work? Go to school? Have access to a computer there?

If you work or attend school and have access to a computer there, chances are you spend a good deal of time surfing the internet. Unfortunately, the chances are also good that the administration or management has some sort of filter in place to prevent you from accessing sites deemed ‘inappropriate’ or ‘unnecessary’ for those using the computer. Often these filters are overly strict and prevent you visiting sites that are fairly harmless, but quite interesting. Sites like Fark.com, tuckermax.com, sometimes even Digg and stumble upon are blocked.
Fortunately, there’s ways to get around these filters. The most commonly known are proxies, websites that allow you to channel your traffic through them, and Tor. Tor is an internet anonymizer which was created to help those stuck behind country wide firewall and those under surveillance from the government but can be harnessed to help those with less noble causes.
If neither of these options would for you, check out Monster Guide’s how to unblock websites.
