Hard drive recovery

Every computer expert will tell you to backup your data. And you should. However, the truth is, the vast majority of computer users don’t back up their data - and few back it up sufficiently. I’ll admit - I back up my pc to my mac laptop, and vice versa. This is obviously far from the ideal solution.
Assume the worst happens. Your hard drive fails. Boom! 10 years of pictures, documents, tax returns, videos, etc gone, right? Not quite - in many cases, data from failed hard drives can be completely restored, and in almost all situations at least partially restored. You can use data recovery software, as a first resort, or more specialized techniques for things like photo recovery, PST repair, or even ipod recovery. If all that fails, you can send it off to one of the plethora of hard drive recovery places available.
Moral of the story: If you’re hard drive fails and you neglected to backups, don’t despair - there are options available to you.
